TONY CRAGO, FOUNDER / EDITOR IN CHEIF
Born and raised in Northwest Indiana I always had a passion for the arts. I knew as a youngin’ that I wanted to be involved in music in some form, I just wasn’t sure to what extent. At one point I thought I was either the reincarnated version of Fred Astaire or ‘Hungry like a Wolf’ like Duran Duran; but being a child of the 80’s I was always rocking out to the beats of Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna, Cindy Lauper, and Lionel Richie. It was from this time to my early teenage years where I realized my true love for music and it was then that I decided I had to get to Los Angeles and become that person that would submerse myself in the heart of it all. In 2001, I made the leap and found myself instantly working in music for companies like DreamWorks and Paramount. Although satisfied in my work, I knew that I had more to give to the industry and more to share with those less exposed. It was my desire to take the opportunity to extend my knowledge and love for music and share with those that have the same passion; therefore, I created Musicbleep to serve as that forum.
CORY RADKE, EDITORIAL DIRECTOR / KEY CONTRIBUTING PHOTOGRAPHER AND STAFF WRITER
Originally from the San Francisco area, I moved to Los Angeles about eleven years ago to attend CalArts for photography. I then found myself working for David LaChapelle and other music photographers and music video directors; getting a good taste of the industry. Music has always surrounded me and influenced my life, from listening to my parents Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers and other albums, to listening to my aunt and uncle’s music library; to whom they are my biggest influences on music. I started off early obsessing over bands like Heart and REM then was lead into the wonderful world of British influences and started being a little anglophile listening to Depeche Mode, Morrissey and the Cure amongst others. My musical tastes and interests have matured and grown into my love for a large variety of music, yet still loving the bands that are responsible for my love. I have since relocated and rooted myself back in the Bay Area and I am very happy to be part of the Musicbleep team, as this now serves as an outlet, not only for me to be on the cutting edge of music and it’s progressive nature, but to be able to share my experiences and introduce new and old music to our readers.
